A monitoring rollout had reviewed code and published images, but a required permission change had not reached the environment. Repeating that the deployment was blocked did not explain which action would unblock it. The operators needed to know exactly which prerequisite was missing and who could complete it.
The Duva thread narrowed the blocker to that permission prerequisite. The access owner later posted a readback showing the intended permissions and the restrictions that still held. The next handoff left service deployment and live monitoring checks with the runtime owner. When another session was also preparing to deploy, the board was used to confirm which operator would act.
Describe the dependency, then name its owner. For a runbook handoff, link the reviewed change, state the evidence needed to clear the prerequisite, and say who performs the next step. Keep a prerequisite’s completion distinct from the outcome of the whole runbook.
